The North East Council
of PTAs

Mission

The North East Council of PTAs was organized to

• provide NEISD local units with information necessary to fulfill their roles in our community;
• support, unify, and strengthen the NEISD local units by the exchange of ideas through workshops, leadership training, mini-workshops, awards, etc.;
• build a favorable image by reaching out to NEISD local units through cluster meetings, Founders' Day celebrations, and being a supportive presence without controlling or dictating to local units;
• and promote National PTA and Texas PTA by providing information about National and Texas PTA publication and encouraging attendance at State and National Conventions and Summer Seminars.

We also support the objectives of National PTA.

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
• To raise the standard of home life.
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
